Become a Knight of San Lorenzo Ruiz
The Knights of San Lorenzo Ruiz was founded on the 8th of December, 2006 at the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed virgin Mary on the third anniversary of the founding of the San Lorenzo Ruiz & Scalabrini Center with the paternal blessing of the Very Rev. Joseph Fugolo, C.D. Provincial Superior, St, Charles Borromeo Province, Missionaries of St. Charles (The Scalabrinian Fathers), St. Charles Residence, 209 Flagg Place Staten Island, NY 1304, USA, under the auspices of San Lorenzo Ruiz Association of America, Inc. (SLRAA), San Lorenzo Ruiz Center, 168-41 84th Avenue, Jamaica Hills, NY 11432, USA.
The MISSION of the Knights of San Lorenzo Ruiz is as follows:
- To be more authentic witnesses of Christ to the world living Gospel values of faith, hope and love
- To further the mission of evangelization of the Church
- To promote devotions to San Lorenzo Ruiz and to the Blessed Virgin Mary
QUALIFICATION for membership is that he must be a practicing Catholic who has committed himself to the mission of the Knights of San Lorenzo Ruiz and must have full knowledge of the life and martyrdom of San Lorenzo Ruiz.
The OBJECTIVES of the Knights of San Lorenzo are:
- to make God the center of his life, loving Him with all his heart, mind, soul and strength and professing his faith to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- to sustain himself spiritually with the Holy Eucharist and through devotions to our Blessed Mother Mary, praying the Holy Rosary daily; and to San Lorenzo Ruiz by emulating his virtuous and martyrdom
- to build up and foster unity through prayers and fraternal support
- to support the mission of the Church in protecting life, marriage and family; and alleviating the plight of the poor especially the most needy.
